Hey Guys!! So today’s post is about the first kiss. More importantly, your character’s first 2_your-first-kisskiss. I have read too many crappy ones. If you write a crappy first kiss, the readers aren’t going to read the rest of it. The point of the first kiss, whether it’s a part of horror, or romance, or whatever. The point is that they have to be the romantic.

If you don’t feel it. IT WILL NOT WORK! I have read so many things both fanfictions, and regular stories that didn’t have the romance and the passion for the first kiss.

Now, I know that when you are reading fanfiction, you are there for either smut or fluff. I get that. But you have to have the passion and romance. That’s all there is.

It annoys the hell out of me when people do this. I don’t care what gender your characters are, as long as they have great chemistry that is really, really, great. So I now apologise for ranting.  And now I am signing off.

Goodbye, my lovelies!

Hello! Happy Monday! So Music. That is what this post is about. Before I get into the post today, I want to know what type of music you listening to when you write.

So, this may sound funny, but I love to listen to Disney soundtracks and any soundtracks of movies I love. I have been listening to it for years. I even got picked on for it. Depending on what I am writing, it really helps. But sadly when I am writing I have to have NO LYRICS! If there are lyrics I get screwed up. And I end up jamming to the tunes. But I am currently listening to the soundtrack of Leap Year.

Well, that’s it for the today! Remember to tell me what you listen to and I will see you Wednesday. But I will try to get one out. But I have and exam. So see you soon!

Goodbye Lovelies,

Hello, my lovelies! Today’s post is going to be short.

I am sad to simagesay, nothing. Like absolutely nothing. Well, that’s
a lie. I do read. But nothing that you are currently wanting to know I read. I am sitting in Starbucks writing this, realising that the last time I read a book, wasn’t even a month a go. It was possibly longer. So instead of What I am Reading. It’s more like what I am currently listening to.

I am listening to Mur Lafferty’s I Should Be Writing . It’s a podcast about her and her writing experience. AND she gives advice for writing. It’s for newbie writers. And she is wonderful. I found her though an article actually.

It was called, I believe, podcasts you should listen to if you are a writer, and she was on there. So I then looked for her podcast on iTunes. And I have been listening for about over a week and a half.

Well I will see you Friday! Or a possibly tomorrow with either an update or a Random Story. And I started my novel! I will only probably telling you what my word count is. Well, time for my send off:

Goodbye, my lovelies!

Random Story #1

Well. Here is the first random story I give you.

Looking outside, the rain falling down, listening to my Disney songs, I write this story. My name is Charley, and I’m going to tell ya about how I lost the love of my life, my boyfriend Patrick.

It was a day like today, the date, June 19, 2014. Nothing really eventful. It was raining cats and toads. I was in my chair reading to Patrick, all nice a warm cuddled to him. My aunt was out like normal.

“Hey, Char?” he asked out of the blue.

“Yes?”

“Can I ask you something random?” I turned to look at him.

“Sure?”

“What would you say if I asked you to marry me today?”

“I would call you crazy and say no.” I felt him stiffen he remained the same. “Patrick?”

“Yeah I guess you would, wouldn’t you? Ian would freak to huh?” That… wasn’t a Patrick line. It caused me to worry. Before I could voice this yet. He kissed my cheek and said, “Got to go Babe.”

“Don’t call me Babe.” He smiled as he got up.

“I know. That’s why I do it. Bye.” He mumbles something I couldn’t hear.

“Bye.” I didn’t realise it then, but the words he must have mumbled were. ‘Forever Stormy’ the nickname of my last name, Stormerson. When he asked me that. I should never have said that without thinking. Sure I had been joking but in my defence… I thought he was too. You think that we would never talk about it again, and you’d be right. Patrick broke up with me and married a pretty girl his parents pick out to help him run the company. I found out years later from my best friend, his sister, That it was either me or her. He hadn’t told me. And when he asked, that day was the deadline. Looking back I would have jumped at the chance. Today on the day of his marriage is the mine life ends. So this, hopefully, reaches him. “I’m sorry Patrick. I wish things could be different and I wish I should never have said it. And I-” A slam, crack and in comes… Patrick.

“I’m sorry, so sorry. I should have told you.” I was so confused.

“What?”

“I had a really bad feeling.” And he kisses me like nothing ever happened.

“Patrick!! You’re married!!”

“As of today, I’m not. Unless you say you will.” I burst into tears.

“Yes!!” I guess I will always say things without thinking.

“Patrick!! You’re married!!”

“As of today, I’m not. Unless you say you will.” I burst into tears.

“Yes!!” I guess I will always say things without thinking.

HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT!

Good Morning! How was your weekend? Mine was uneventful. No, wait I did have my sister and her kids over and I HELD THE BABY!! That was as exciting as I got this weekend.

But as the title suggests, I am going to talk to you why I write and how I got into it. And at the end, I’ll give you more info on how this week is going to go.

Now firstly, I should tell you when I got into writing. I started in grade 8. It was a day when a Canadian mystery writer, I don’t remember who exactly it was now, came to my school. At first, I didn’t think much of it. I don’t remember very much of what he said. He made it seem that anyone could do it, even a geeky not liked teen. And you can. But that was when I first started writing. I had little to no friends. But it wasn’t that I had been bullied. But it was I was a nerd in a class of 30, who were all sports people. Everyone like sports and participated. I hated sports. I still do, but now I know that I should at least cheer people on. (That’s a different story that I may or may not tell)

That book I had been inspired to write was a mystery. A very violent one. But that wasn’t really a story. It was more of writing the guy I had a crush on the hero. It was a bad way of making friends.

But I moved on. I moved on to fanfiction. And if you are as much of a geek as I, fanfiction isn’t a new thing. Heck, even if you aren’t a geek, you know of fanfiction. Possibly.

Now why I write.

I realised I could use it as an escape. I loved escaping. But I also like that I could use whatever means necessary to make my characters do what I wanted.

I realised that I could do anything I wanted. I wrote about almost everything. Why I write means to me that I could create worlds that no one else could think of. Now this was still the friendless teen in grade 9, and then it happened. I met my best friend. My writer friend.

She made me realise that I could create these worlds; and really, I could create my worlds and share them. Show others what I was doing. And now I have been ever since.

Okay, now that that is done. Time to tell you how this week goes. So as you know, I will be posting Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Mondays and Wednesdays will be whatever I think of. Fridays will be, like I posted before, Prompt Fridays. So this week will be this one, why I write, and Wednesday will be the book I am currently reading. Then Friday is Prompt Friday.

Now, here is the thing. If I put on this site flash fiction, or excerpts, or random stories that pop into my head, would that be okay? Tell me in the comments if you don’t. But for now,  I will be.

So goodbye, my lovelies!

Hey, everyone! Well, I’m starting off with prompts. Oh, lovely prompts. This is how I am going to do it. I am going to give you five prompts. Two I have found and Three I have created. Now I know that the ones that I found are not mine. I am not claiming I do. I will give you the link to them. So here they are. (I mostly find them on Pinterest.Com)

  1. Write about an assassin who gets hired to kill a man who doesn’t exist. (https://thewritershandbook.tumblr.com)
  2. She looked down at her blood stained hands and a small giggle rose up in her throat “Who could’ve guessed?” She laughed no, “Killing is so much fun!” (https://promptuarium.wordpress.com/2016/03/22/who-couldve-guessed/)
  3. A guy falls in love…with a robot. He doesn’t know she’s a robot. Write his story.
  4. Write about a male wolf. (Shifter, your choice) He has glasses. He’s also talking to someone he just met and he says, “Yes, it’s very funny that a wolf has glasses.” Write
  5. You and (INSERT PERSON HERE) are walking along a beach, you find something you weren’t expecting. A wand. An old world wand. That starts glowing when (INSERT PERSON HERE) touches it. Write

Well, there you go. Five prompts for the first Friday. I’ll be posting Mondays, Wednesdays, and lastly Fridays. So have a good weekend and I will see you Monday. You should be writing!

Goodbye, for now my sweets!

–Cass

Hey! First Post!

Hey there! So I don’t know what I am going to post one here. It may be snips of my book. Perhaps tell you how I am doing on my writing. Or maybe I’ll give you prompts that I find and make up? But I won’t give advice. I know that isn’t something you’d want, but you know what? I am not entitled to give you advice when I am still trying to get into this world myself.  HOWEVER, if you’d like to talk to me about my fandoms, by all means, go ahead. But I don’t think I’ll be giving you advice. Sorry.  This may change. It may not. But that is all I will say. I will be talking about the fandoms and the news I heard. And interesting things that I have found.

Goodbye, for now, my sweats.
